PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting a zombie mode. The creator, Bluehole, has announced this. It is a mode where players take on the role of zombies; the zombies are not controlled by the AI.

The video includes a group of zombies, we see how zombies outwit a number of human players and we see a player use a Kalashnikov against a zombie. It is not yet clear when the new zombie mode will appear in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Zombie mode will be a separate game mode. The idea for the introduction of zombies came about when a number of streamers invited their viewers to join a round of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds pretending to be zombies. Four streamers played the roles of survivors, while the rest pretended to be zombies. The zombies couldn’t use any firearms or equipment, they could attack some from close range.

More new additions are introduced in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. On Monday, Brendan Green of developer Bluehole announced that a system will eventually be added that allows players to climb with their characters and jump over obstacles and through windows. When this will be introduced is still unknown.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a so-called battle royale game, in which 100 players are dropped on a large desert island and have to ensure that only their team, consisting of a maximum of 4 players, survives. In the matches, it is important to gather weapons as quickly as possible and to ensure that players do not get outside the constantly shrinking playing zone. The game is currently enjoying a lot of popularity.
