PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold 70 million units to date, likely in joint sales for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Developer PUBG Corporation’s battleroyal game went into Early Access in March 2017.

When disclosing the sales figure, the developer does not differentiate between the sales numbers for the different platforms. Incidentally, the game is also available for free as a mobile version. PUBG became available as an Early Access title in March 2017 and was officially released at the end of that year. More than half a year after that official release, the milestone of 50 million copies was already reached and the shooter only came out on the PS4 in December 2018. It took more than two years for the 20 million units sold now to be added.

Season 8 is now approaching, giving the Sanhok jungle playground a remaster. There will also be a new feature called the Loot Trucks, although Ranked Matches are excluded. They are driving armored trucks that leave loot when damaged. Destroying such a truck provides extra weapons and equipment. These weapons already have certain additions and skins. This new season will appear on PC on July 22 and can now be found on the test server. Players on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 still have to wait until July 30th.
