The Chinese testing agency Tenaa has published photos of what will probably be next year’s Nokia 6. HMD has not yet presented a successor for the current Nokia 6, but it is in line with expectations that the Finnish company will come up with a successor next year.

The photos show HMD’s TA-1054. The screen appears to be longer than the current Nokia 6 in the image, while the fingerprint scanner appears to have moved from the front to the back. It is impossible to determine exactly how large the screen is: the photo clearly shows a black area over the place where the screen should be. It is unknown why that is.

The device seems to have a metal housing, just like the current Nokia 6. On the back is a single camera module with LED flash. Previous rumors pointed to a device with a 5.5-inch 18:9 screen.

HMD presented the first Nokia 6 on January 19 last year and now it has an event planned in China for that same date. The Finnish company will probably present a version for Europe at a later date. That happened this year at the telecom fair Mobile World Congress, which takes place at the end of February. In addition to the new Nokia 6, there were also rumors about a Nokia 9, which the company has not yet presented.
