Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy comes to consoles and PC

The first three games from the Ace Attorney series are released for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is no publication date yet, but the trilogy will be released in early 2019.

Capcom announces the news in an announcement trailer. It shows that the trilogy will be an HD version of the original games. The HD trilogy came out in 2013 for Android and iOS. A year later the bundle came to the Nintendo 3DS.

The Ace Attorney series consists of visual short stories about the issues that are defended by Phoenix Wright, a young lawyer. Wright is also a playable character in […] Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 . In Ace Attorney the player himself investigates, collects evidence and presents what he has found in the courtroom. In the meantime he has to get the mistakes from the confessions of the witnesses. The series features some spin-off games, including a pair following Wright’s famous opponent, Miles Edgeworth.

The first game in the trilogy, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, was released in October 2001 for the Gameboy Advance. The following year Justice for All followed. In 2004 the final part, Trials and Tribulations, came out. The games have had individual re-releases on the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo Wii and Windows.
