Outlook.com users face email outage

Outlook.com users have been dealing with an outage since Monday morning. As a result, they cannot send or receive emails. Microsoft says it is investigating the problems, but does not name a cause.

The Microsoft services status page has been showing a listing of Outlook.com issues since Monday afternoon, after showing no issues for much of the day. In it, the company says it is investigating the problem to determine the cause. A time for a possible solution is not mentioned.

On All Disruptions, the number of reports steadily increases throughout the day. Users report that sent emails end up in the drafts folder. The status account for Office 365 made via Twitter previously reported problems and referred admins to a status page, a screenshot of which has been posted online. According to Allestoringen, the problems seem to occur mainly in Europe.
