Oppo, the Chinese maker of the Find line of Android smartphones, has responded to complaints about the displays of the Find 7 and Find 7a. According to Oppo, some smartphones must be exchanged, while a software update is also coming.

Owners of an Oppo Find 7a complained that the display has a yellow color cast at the bottom. According to the manufacturer, this is caused by the backlighting being uneven. Oppo promises that customers with such a device can have this examined and get a new device if the problem is found, GizChina reports.

With the Oppo Find 7, customers stated that the entire screen is too ‘yellowish’ and the color reproduction less realistic than with the screen of the Find 7a. According to Oppo, this problem can be solved with a software update. It is not yet known when this update will be released.
