OnePlus starts releasing Android 10 upgrade for OnePlus 5 and 5T

OnePlus has started releasing the Android 10 update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T. These phones were released in June and November 2017 respectively. The upgrade will be distributed in phases.

OnePlus reports on its forum that OxygenOS 10.0.0 is gradually becoming available for OnePlus 5 and 5T users. OxygenOS is the shell that the Chinese manufacturer puts over the Android operating system and version 10.0.0 that becomes available with the update is based on Android 10. Version 10.0.0 includes new features, including a new interface and custom location permission options in the frame of privacy.

This is an ota update that will only be available for a limited number of users on Wednesday. The update will be more widely available in the coming days. OnePlus says it chooses this to make sure there are no serious bugs present.

The arrival of Android 10 to the OnePlus 5 and 5T was announced by the manufacturer in October last year. Then the manufacturer named the second quarter of this year as the release period. In September last year, OnePlus already provided the 7 devices with Android 10 and in November it was the turn of the OnePlus 6 and 6T.
