OnePlus Nord 2 5G appears next week and costs 399 euros
OnePlus has presented the Nord 2 5G. The device will receive a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI-soc, a 6.43 “amoled screen with 1080×2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90hz. The Nord 2 is for sale in Europe from July 28. Prices start from 399 euros.
As previously announced, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G will receive a custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200-soc. This chip is a top model from MediaTek and supports 5G. According to OnePlus, the adjustments allow the soc to better process all kinds of AI tasks, which should lead to better photos and a smooth user experience. The CPU is reportedly 65 percent faster than the Qualcomm 765G that was in the previous generation of Nord devices. The GPU would be 125 percent faster.
The Nord 2 5G comes with a 6.43″ AMOLED screen that counts 1080 x 2400 pixels and has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The primary camera uses a Sony IMX766 module and has 50 megapixels. This image sensor is also used in the OnePlus 9 Pro, but for the ultra-wide-angle camera, the Nord 2 5G also features an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera.
OnePlus equips the Nord 2 5G with a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The 65W fast charger is included. The device cannot charge wirelessly. The device runs on OxygenOS 11.3 and OnePlus promises to provide the Nord 2 with two years of Android upgrades and three years of security updates.
The Nord 2 5G is available in Europe in two memory versions and two color versions, blue and gray. The cheapest version comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage for 399 euros. The more expensive model costs 499 euros and has 12GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device will be delivered from July 28.
