OnePlus introduces cheaper Lite version to new range of smartphones

OnePlus seems to be planning to release a Lite model with the release of its new generation of smartphones. The device must become the cheaper version of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. However, prices are not yet known.

That the OnePlus 8 series also a Lite version does is not yet officially announced by the manufacturer, but 91Mobiles already renders in received hands of the cheaper model. The images have been supplied by OnLeaks, who are more often the first to receive renders of unreleased smartphones.

There are no specifications for the OnePlus 8 Lite yet, but it can be seen from the pictures that the device has two cameras on the back, with the 8 and 8 Pro getting one more. At the front, a recess has been made on the screen for the front camera. The same recess is most probably also on the other OnePlus 8-models, as was found from a previously surfaced render the 8 Pro.

In addition, there is no fingerprint scanner on the renders of the Lite, which suggests that it is built in under the screen, just like with the other models in the series. OnePlus probably puts the smartphone in the market as a midrange, but it is still unclear what the price is. The manufacturer probably wants to meet the complaints with the Lite model in addition to the regular and the Pro models that the smartphones have constantly increased in price over the years.
