Nvidia Starts Rolling Out RTX 3080 GeForce Now Subscription Formula in Europe

Nvidia has started rolling out its RTX 3080 GeForce Now subscription in Europe for 100 euros per six months. Users who had already pre-ordered the subscription formula are next in line. After that, others can also use the service.

With the RTX 3080 subscription formula, gamers on PC can enjoy cloud gaming with a resolution of 1440p and a frame rate of 120Hz, according to Nvidia. According to the company, “most” Apple MacBook laptops could cloud gaming at a resolution of 1600p and a frame rate of 120Hz. For iMacs, a resolution of 1440p in combination with 120Hz applies. The Nvidia Shield TV supports a resolution of 4K HDR and 60Hz. On Android phones with a 120Hz screen, the new subscription will also allow you to play at 120fps.

The new subscription formula has Adaptive Sync and that should provide more fluid gameplay images. The latency with the RTX3080 subscription would also be less than 60ms. For the RTX 3080 subscription, Nvidia recommends an internet subscription with a download speed of at least 35Mbit/s.

The subscription may be called RTX 3080, but they will not be cloud gaming from a system that runs on RTX 3080 cards. After all, users of the service will rely on a GeForce NOW SuperPOD. That’s the new setup Nvidia uses in its data centers and a system that’s good for 39,200 Tflops, 11,477,760 CUDA cores and 8960 CPU cores. Each user is assigned an ‘RTX 3080 Rig with RTX On’. That system reportedly has 35 Tflops of computing power, an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro CPU with 8 cores, 28GB DDR4-3200 memory and a PCI-e 4.0 SSD.
