Figures from SteamDB show that the number of daily players of the game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has recently dropped below 1 million for the first time in a year. There has been a downward trend since the beginning of this year.

The SteamDB figures show that the game has sustained almost exactly a year to attract more than 1 million players every day. The highlight was around the turn of the year, when briefly about 3 million players were simultaneously online. Since then, there has been a steady decline, with the number of players also slowly decreasing on other statistics sites . It is difficult to compare this trend with competitor Fortnite, whose number of players, for example, can not be followed via Steam. In February, Fortnite was able to exceed the peak of PUBG .

The game reached 8 million simultaneous players on September 8 of last year for the first time . According to SteamDB’s statistics, the release of PUBG Mobile caused a brief dip in Steam players in March, after which the numbers recovered.

A month ago the PUBG developer made a campaign known as Fix PUBG. In a period of three months, the company wants to eliminate bugs and meet the improvement suggestions of players. The campaign should also benefit the performance of the game.

Meanwhile, more games have been released that are equipped with a battle royale mode, in which players compete against each other until there is only one left. For example, a test for such a Call of Duty mode came out on Monday: Black Ops 4 for PlayStation 4 owners .
