Nokia has announced a new television with Android TV. It is a cheap 43″ model that is currently intended for the Indian market. Nokia also released its first televisions with Android TV there.

The television is made and sold by the online store Flipkart, where the other Nokia TVs are also sold. That’s what 9To5Google discovered. Flipkart has a partnership with Nokia, which allows it to use the brand name. The 43″ television has a price of 31,999 Indian rupees, which is about 375 euros, making it the cheapest smart TV from Nokia. In addition to a 4k resolution, the TV has built-in JBL speakers.

The television has a 1GHz quad-core processor built-in, which works with 2.25GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage on which applications can be installed. The software is based on Android TV version 9.0.

Nokia released a smart television for the first time at the end of last year. That was a 55″ model with comparable hardware, and also a 4k resolution and Android 9.0. The television cost about 530 euros at release. The 43″ model therefore seems to be a smaller and cheaper version of this 55″ At the moment there are no known plans for a European release of Nokia televisions.
