HMD announces two new Nokia budget smartphones. The Nokia 2.4 at 129 euros is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P22-soc and has a Micro-USB connection. The 149 euro Nokia 3.4 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 and is equipped with USB-C.

HMD provides both Nokia smartphones with Android 10, but promises two years of upgrades, including to Android 11 and 12. The phones will also receive monthly security updates for three years.

The Nokia 2.4 has a 6.5 “LCD with a 20: 9 ratio and is equipped with the MediaTek Helio P22-soc. That is a 12nm octacore with Cortex-A53 cores at 2GHz. The device gets 2GB of ram and 32GB flash storage The memory can be expanded with a microSD card.

HMD puts a 4500mAh battery in the budget smartphone and it must be charged via a Micro-USB connection. The device has a fingerprint scanner on the back and can accommodate two nano SIM cards.

The slightly more expensive Nokia 3.4 has a 6.39 “screen with a 19.5: 9 ratio and a maximum brightness of 400cd / m². The device runs on a Snapdragon 460-soc, which is made at 11nm and has four powerful cores and four efficient cores The Nokia 3.4 has 3GB of ram and 32GB of flash storage, as well as nfc, an extra ultra-wide-angle camera and a USB-C connection.

HMD will release the Nokia 2.4 at the end of September for a suggested retail price of 129 euros. The Nokia 3.4 will follow in the second half of October for 149 euros. The Nokia Power Earbuds Lite will also appear during that period. These are wireless earphones with a suggested retail price of 60 euros.

Nokia 8.3 5G will be released on October 9 for 579 euros

HMD has also announced that the Nokia 8.3 5G will be released on October 9. That device was already announced in March. The configuration with 6GB ram and 64GB flash storage costs 579 euros and a version with 8GB ram and 128GB storage space costs 649 euros. Those prices are slightly lower than the prices that HMD mentioned at the introduction.

The Nokia 8.3 5G is HMD’s first device with 5G. For that, the phone uses Qualcomms Snapdragon 765G with X52 modem. The Nokia 8.3 has a 6.81 “screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a 4500mAh battery.
