Nissan LEAF is still the most popular electric car in Europe

The new Nissan LEAF is the best-selling fully electric car of this year in Europe to date. The emission-free Nissan knows how to convince more and more customers. In the first half of 2018, more than 18,000 new Nissans LEAF have already been registered. Since its introduction in October 2017, Nissan has already sold more than 37,000 new Nissans LEAFs in Europe.

The new LEAF has a dynamic design and considerable acceleration. At the same time – thanks to its fully electric powertrain – it is naturally also very friendly to the environment. And advanced technology such as the e-Pedal and ProPILOT and ProPILOT Park for autonomous driving, make driving in the LEAF pleasant.

The larger battery pack of the new Nissan LEAF – with a capacity of 40 kWh – enables a range of 270 kilometers according to the new WLTP emission and consumption standard.

The fully electric-powered Nissan LEAF has been honored several times for its advanced technology and performance. At the New York International Auto Show, the LEAF was honored with the title 2018 World Green Car. He also scored five stars in the safety tests of both the Euro NCAP and the Japanese equivalent.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility

The new LEAF is the flagship of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, Nissan’s vision of how cars are driven, ridden and integrated into society. The car is equipped with many innovative technologies, such as Nissan ProPILOT, ProPILOT Park and e-Pedal, which are popular with customers. To date, 72 percent of buyers of a new Nissan LEAF have opted for the optional ProPILOT system for autonomous driving.

The great demand for LEAF in the first 5 months of this year strengthens its position as the best-selling electric car in the world. Since Nissan launched the LEAF in 2010, it has sold more than 340,000 units worldwide. Recently, Nissan delivered the 100,000th Nissan LEAF to a European customer.
