New i9 Macbook Pro only works at full capacity in the freezer

The new 2018 Macbooks are barely a week and we already have a problem. No, it is not the keyboard, because that is fixed without the problem by name . Nice. If you have just ordered a 2018 Macbook Pro you just have to panic if you have ordered the extra expensive 15 inch i9 model, or you must happen to be planning to take the thing to very cold places.

What turns out? The i9 processor generates more heat than the laptop can possibly drain. This not only ensures that the laptop is structurally more than 40 degrees with average temperature, but also that the processor is not burning, the so-called thermal throttling. This is a system that is useful in itself and is meant to protect a processor against temporary failure or unforeseen circumstances and heat. However, it becomes a problem if your laptop is already so hot right out of the box that the processor resets itself to a lower level than the processor that is a few hundred euros cheaper. Precisely: the i9 performs in the base less than the i7.
