New Coffee Lake processors appear at online stores in the US

Webshops in the United States have started selling Intel Coffee Lake processors that have not yet been announced. These include the core i3-8300 and Pentium Gold processors.

Several stores in the US mention the CPUs in their webshop and some would actually deliver them, VideoCardz writes. The Core i series is an extension with models that fall between the existing line-up. All new processors are non-overclockable and slower than the currently fastest models in the Core i3, i5 and i7 series.

The Core i3-8300 is clocked slightly faster than the current Core i3-8100 and has more l3 cache. The cache is just as large as the more expensive and overclockable Core i3-8350K. The new Core i5-8500 and i5-8600 are clocked slightly faster than the i5-8400 released last year, but they are inferior to the i5-8600K.

The web stores also show new Pentium Gold and Celeron models. These are dual cores, with the Pentium versions having HyperThreading. For now, only expensive motherboards with the Z370 chipset are available for Coffee Lake CPUs. The introduction of the new processors will probably be accompanied by the arrival of cheaper motherboards with the B360 or H370 chipset. An H310 platform is also expected, which should serve the lower end of the market.
