Netgear has announced the price of the recently announced XR1000 router aimed at gamers. The device will receive a suggested retail price of 379 euros and is characterized, among other things, by the support of Wi-Fi 6 and version 3.0 of the DumaOS dashboard.

Netgear has had routers in its range that support Wi-Fi 6 for some time, but according to the manufacturer, the new Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR1000 WiFi 6 AX5400 is the first gamer-focused router to do so. The device has four detachable antennas and is equipped with a triple-core processor with the cores running at 1.5GHz.

As part of the Nighthawk Pro Gaming series, this router must limit the gaming latency when distributing wireless Internet traffic. In addition, Netgear emphasizes the added value of the DumaOS 3.0 dashboard. This monitors the network and allows users to allocate bandwidth per device or application. For example, priority can be given to traffic for connected game consoles.

The XR1000 is equipped with version 3.0 of DumaOS. As with previous versions the geofencing function is present. This is a filter that allows players to choose which game server to connect to. Furthermore, an overview map is available to see where the game servers are located in the world and which ping belongs to them.

The router has a single USB 3.0 connection and has five gigabit Ethernet ports, one of which is a WAN port. These ports go up to 1000Mbit / s. The manufacturer reports that the XR1000 will be available online for a suggested retail price of 379 euros.
