Mud makes PlayStation 5 smaller and more compact

Sony started selling its updated PS5 consoles at the end of November. But for some it is not small and thin enough. A mudder has managed to shave even more off the console.

The YouTube channel Not From Concentrate, or NFC, has converted a slimmed-down PS5 into a small box. “I was disappointed with the size of the new PS5, so I decided to build a smaller model myself,” says the Modder.

According to the company, the small PS5 is more than sixty percent smaller than the slimmed-down PS5. It has an NFC designed chassis, an HDPLEX 250W GaN Passive AIO ATX power supply, Alpenföhn Black Ridge cooler, a 120mm Noctua Chromax case fan and a built-in charging dock for two controllers. Still, not all parts of the PS5 fit. The disk drive must be connected separately.
