Minisforum announces the EliteMini CR50 on its website. The AMD 4700S soc used is missing the Ryzen brand name and is based on defective chips for the PlayStation 5. The 4700S therefore has eight Zen 2 cores with a boost clock of 4.0 GHz and 16 GB GDDR6 memory.

The chip comes on a development board, which has a PCIe x16 slot, although it only supports a limited PCIe 2.0 x4 signal. The Minisforum CR50 will receive a Radeon RX 550 video card, which is based on the Polaris architecture.

The EliteMini CR50 can be supplied without storage, but can also be equipped with a 2.5″ SSD with 256 or 512GB capacity. The system does not support M.2 drives. The CR50 also gets gigabit Ethernet, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 connector and four USB 2.0 connectors, the device also gains an HDMI 2.0 connector and a DVI port and supports FreeSync.

Minisforum supplies an EliteMini CR50 without SSD for 669 euros, excluding import tax. A variant with 256GB storage costs 709 euros and the version with a 512GB SSD costs 749 euros. The PC is shipped from China.
