Minisforum releases mini PC DeskMini UM350 for $299

Minisforum has released a new mini PC. The DeskMini UM350 has a starting price of $299. Customers can choose a model with or without ram. The mini PC contains an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H processor and runs Manjaro Linux.

The DeskMini UM350 has dimensions of 127x127x51.3mm and weighs 500g. The mini PC is intended for ‘home use’ and is suitable for ‘entertainment and work’, says Minisforum. The processor of the DeskMini is an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H and the integrated GPU is a Radeon RX Vega 8. It is possible to connect three screens, all three of which can then display a 4k image at 60Hz.

The device has two sodimm slots for up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, an M.2 2280 slot and a 2.5″ slot for an SSD or hard drive. The DeskMini includes an HDMI 2.1 port, a DisplayPort , a USB-C port, an RJ45 connector for gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The $299 entry-level model comes with a 256GB SSD with Manjaro Plasma Edition software, but not with RAM. It is possible to get 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for $399. In addition to the Manjaro operating system, the computer comes with a number of apps, including the Firefox and Vivaldi web browsers, LibreOffice, VLC Media Player, Steam, and Skype.
