Microsoft has made its all-in-one app for Office available in the Google Play Store. With the app, owners of an Android device can use the functionality of Word, Excel and PowerPoint on their smartphone.

With the new app for Office on Android, Microsoft combines Word, Excel and PowerPoint into a single application, where users previously had to switch between the three different respective apps.

In addition, the app offers the possibility to access OneDrive files to view or edit them, scan physical documents with Office Lens and scan QR codes. There is also a function to share files with nearby mobile devices or transfer them between smartphone and PC.

In addition, users can digitally sign PDFs with their finger and Sticky Notes are available for note taking. The app works in portrait mode and does not support tablets and Chromebooks. An adapted interface for landscape display, for example, is currently lacking.
