Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes runs on the PlayStation 4 in 1080p and on the Xbox One in 720p. Both games run on next-gen consoles at 60fps. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are upscaled to 720p and run at 30fps.

Konami makes this known via its official website. The page looks extensively at the differences in resolution and detail per version of the game. It is not yet known what internal resolution the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will run on.

In addition, a special edition of Sony’s latest console has appeared in the Japanese Sony Store. The PlayStation 4 Fox Edition is a bundle containing Ground Zeroes and the console with the logo of development studio Kojima Productions. It is unknown if this special edition console will also be sold outside of Japan. The release date for Ground Zeroes in Europe is March 20 and the game will be released for the PlayStation 3 and 4, and the Xbox 360 and One.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes isn’t the first Xbox One game to play in 720p. In 2013, it was also announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will run in 720p on the Xbox One and in 1080p on the PlayStation 4.
