Many things go up in price, but does that also apply to phones?

Groceries, houses, electricity: many things have become much more expensive in the past year. After years of limited inflation, prices have risen rapidly, except for phones, it seems. They increase in price less than other products.

In a few weeks, if the rumors are to be believed, Apple will present its next-generation iPhones. One of the novelties this year according to those rumours? The first price increase for the Pro models since 2017. The Pro iPhones, formerly iPhone Xs and iPhone X, are remarkably consistent in price. The iPhone X cost 1179 euros in 2017, an unheard of high retail price for that time. Since then, there are many more phones in that price range. The likely price hike raises the question: what about the rest of the market?
