Logitech has announced the G502 HERO. It is a version of the G502 mouse, which is equipped by the manufacturer with its High Efficiency Rated Optical 16K sensor and which should be released in October.

Logitech is releasing the G502 HERO under its brand name Logitech G. As the name of the HERO 16K sensor indicates, it is a 16,000 dpi sensor. In addition, it can register movements at a speed of four hundred inches per second.

The original G502, which Logitech introduced in 2014, had a 12,000dpi sensor with support for registration at 300 inches per second. The HERO variant retains the G502 housing. There are eleven buttons that can be programmed with the Logitech Gaming Software. In addition, there are five weights of 3.6 grams each. The mouse supports Logitech’s Lightsync RGB lighting and can store up to five profiles in its memory.

The switch is mechanical and developed together with Omron. Logitech is expected to start sales in October, for a suggested retail price of 90 euros. When announcing the Logitech Pro Wireless last week, media reported that the Pro Gaming mouse would receive an upgrade with the HERO 16K sensor, but the company is not reporting on that.
