LG is likely to present G4 smartphone on April 28

LG has sent out invitations for the presentation of its G4 smartphone. It will take place on April 28. With that, the G4 would come almost two months after competitors Samsung and HTC announced their new top models for 2015.

LG holds events in the South Korean capital of Seoul, Singapore, the Turkish city of Istanbul, New York, Paris and London. It is currently unknown whether the manufacturer will also livestream the presentation. The South Korean electronics maker also held its own event in the spring last year, then for the G3 on May 27.

The invitation shows a background of leather with stitching, which makes it obvious that the G4 is partly made of leather, for example the back. Various manufacturers have applied leather or fake leather to smartphones. BlackBerry did that in its Bold series, Samsung had the Galaxy Note 3 with fake leather with stitching and the Moto X 2014 from Motorola is also available with leather backs.

Little is known about the G4 yet. Photos did come out of a device that would be the G4 with a slightly curved screen.
