Lenovo device with Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 appears in Geekbench database

Benchmark results have emerged of a Lenovo device with an unannounced Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor. According to the statement, the chip has eight cores and a clock speed of 2.69GHz.

The device has a single-core score of 1010 in Geekbench 5 and achieves multicore results of 5033. Devices with the Gen 2 version of the 8cx soc average single and multicore results of 790 and 3100, respectively, notes Liliputing. In the first generation of Snapdragon socs, the average scores are 720 and 2800, respectively.

The Arm processor of the unannounced device has eight cores and a base frequency of 2.69 GHz. Further details about the chip and the device are not known, although the benchmark results do state that the device runs on Windows 11.

The first version of the Snapdragon 8cx came out in 2018 and featured eight Kyro 495 cores. In 2019 Qualcomm announced that it would also use the 8cx for laptops with 5G modems. Last year, the company released the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. It is largely the same as the first version, but has a new DSP and supports Wi-Fi 6.
