Lenovo is working on a fitness bracelet, according to documents the Chinese company has filed with the FCC. The device monitors the user’s heart rate and sleep, among other things, and has a battery life of one week.

The documents were filed with the FCC on Saturday, suggesting concrete plans to bring the product to market. The device is suitable for tracking runs and sleep and syncs via bluetooth with Android, iOS and Windows 8 devices.

In photos filed with the FCC, there is an oval-shaped block next to the device that is likely the charger. Lenovo has not yet commented on the device’s existence, so it is unclear when and whether it will be on the market.

The user manual submitted to the FCC shows that the smart bracelet has a small screen that shows, for example, the mode or the time. The device also has a heart rate sensor. The smart bracelet should last seven days on average on one battery. Also, the device can hold data for seven days; the bracelet will therefore have to be synchronized at least once every seven days.

With the release of the fitness bracelet, Lenovo would not be the only producer with such a product. Many manufacturers, including Sony and LG, for example, have already released a fitness bracelet.
