LEGO Star Wars Battles, a mobile RTS game that was scrapped earlier this year, is returning as an Apple Arcade exclusive. The game became available in a number of countries in 2019, but in July the game’s servers were taken offline by developer TT Games Brighton.

The studio announces the return of LEGO Star Wars Battles on the Star Wars website. It is a real-time strategy game where players compete against each other in PvP battles. Players must compete for territory and eventually take over the opponent’s base to win.

Among other things, players can build Lego towers on the playing field. Users can also collect upgradable characters, troops, and vehicles from the Star Wars franchise, with a choice of light and dark sides as well. Characters also have unique abilities. The game also features battlefields on iconic planets from the Star Wars universe, such as Naboo, Hoth and Endor.

It is not known when exactly the game will appear on Apple Arcade, but the developer states that this will happen “soon”. LEGO Star Wars Battles is not a new game. The game already appeared in a number of countries in 2019, as a soft launch. However, in May developer TT Games Brighton announced that the smartphone game would be scrapped, PocketGamer also wrote. Then the developer announced that the game would “close” on July 1, and players were advised to spend in-game currency before that date.

With the return, the game will once again be playable on Mac computers, iPhones, iPads and Apple TV devices. For this, users need an Apple Arcade subscription of five euros per month or fifty euros per year. The game contains no ads but is only playable as long as the Apple Arcade subscription is active.
