The Flemish developer Larian Studios has posted a teaser of Baldur’s Gate 3 and says it will show more of the game at the digital game festival Guerrilla Collective. It will take place from 6 to 8 June.

In the teaser, according to a CRPG veteran of TechSpot, the same dungeon from the gameplay demo resembles PAX East. One of the spells we see is Mage Hand, followed by the Underdark, a familiar environment from previous Baldur’s Gate games. That’s also the home of the illithids, or mind flayers, the antagonists in Baldur’s Gate 3.

The Guerrilla Collective festival will be shown by stream on Twitch, among other things. It kicks off on June 6 at 7 p.m. local time, but when Baldur’s Gate 3 will be featured is not yet clear. Larian Studios states that it “starts on June 6, with a showcase at Guerrilla Collective”, but it also states that it will be “spread over June” more about the game.

Baldur’s Gate is a series of RPGs set in the Forgotten Realms fantasy world of Dungeons & Dragons. The first game was released in 1998, made by BioWare, and since then Baldur’s Gate has been split into two series: the Bhaalspawn Saga and the Dark Alliance. There was already talk of a Baldur’s Gate III, namely The Black Hound, but that game was scrapped in 2003. A Baldur’s Gate III that was supposed to appear in 2009 and that would be made by Obsidian Entertainment eventually never came. Larian announced a year ago that he was working on part three.

Due to the coronavirus, the development of the game delayed, but the Early Access version of the game is still expected this year. If you want more footage of the game, you can watch a little more than an hour long PAX East gameplay demo done by Larian kingpin Swen Vincke.
