A video has surfaced on Twitter showing a huge pile of iPhone 13 Pro Max cases. With that, the name for the new iPhone – iPhone 13 – seems increasingly likely.
iPhone 13 Pro Max cases: video leaked
The video was initially shared through the account @PinkDon1 and shows a large batch of silicone sleeves, in the packaging and with the plastic still around. The labels have the text ‘iPhone 13 Pro Max Silicone Case’ with the MagSafe logo underneath. The video appears to have been shot in a production facility or warehouse. These are the official Apple cases.

When the rumors surrounding the iPhone 13 started earlier this year, it was not yet clear what the official name of the 2021 iPhone would be. The iPhone 13 name was a contender, but it was also said that Apple would include the ‘S’ in the name again. In the past, for example, the iPhone 5 was followed by an iPhone 5s, and the iPhone X followed by an iPhone Xs. The iPhone 12 appeared last year, so the iPhone 12s name would have been a serious possibility.
Video has since been removed
The clip has since been removed from the account that originally shared it, but is now circulating online. The account @PinkDon1 is not very active so we cannot say whether it is reliable. But it often happens that such videos appear right before the release. And the lightning-fast removal of the video also seems to indicate that this video should never have been online and is therefore authentic.
iPhone 13 release
We expect the iPhone 13 to be announced by Apple this month. Like the iPhone 12, there are four models: the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Expected new features include a 120Hz screen, an improved camera and a super-fast A15 chip.
