Intel introduces NUC 8 Pro with vPro

Intel has released the NUC 8 Pro series of business compact PCs. The mini PCs for businesses will get Intel vPro processors from the Whiskey Lake generation, with a TDP of 15W. They support three monitors.

Intel has put versions of the NUC 8 Pro with a Core i7-8665U and a Core i3-8145U on its site and a model with a Core i5-8365U is also appearing. These are energy-efficient mobile processors with a TDP of 15W, based on Intel’s business vPro platform. Processors with vPro, for example, support Active Management Technology for remote management. The Core i7 and Core i5 support rpm 2.0 modules.

The NUC 8 Pro models, codenamed Provo Canyon, come as boards, barebones or complete PCs and include two HDMI 2.0a interfaces, a Thunderbolt 3 port and an internal embedded Displayport 1.4 connector. There is also an m2 slot for SSDs and there are three USB 3.1 Gen 2 interfaces of type a. The NUCs support 802.11ac, or WiFi 5, and contain a gigabit Ethernet port.
