Insomniac is working on Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine for PlayStation 5

Insomniac Games is working on two new Marvel games for the PlayStation 5. A Wolverine game is coming, a short teaser has been shown. Sony is also announcing Spider-Man 2 for 2023, the sequel to Marvel’s 2018 Spider-Man.

In Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker and Miles Morales reunite and take on Venom. Like the previous Spider-Man games from Insomniac, it is a single player game. A short trailer has been shown for the game, but no gameplay yet. The images shown now are just a glimpse of what players can expect in terms of new possibilities, according to the makers.

The development team from the first Spider-Man game is largely returning to work on the new game, Insomniac writes on the PlayStation Blog. Actors Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter have been re-cast for their roles as Peter and Miles. The game should be released sometime in 2023.

Marvel’s Wolverine

Little is known about the Wolverine game. According to Insomniac, that game is still in a very early stage of development. No date or year is mentioned yet. The game may not appear until after Spider-Man 2 and therefore after 2023. The two Marvel games will come exclusively to the PlayStation 5. Insomniac Games is a studio of Sony, the games will not appear for other platforms.
