HP introduces new convertibles in its Specter series. The Specter x360 14 will have a 3: 2 screen with a resolution of 3000×2000 pixels and there will be an OLED variant. The Specter x360 13 can also be supplied with an OLED screen. That model has a 16: 9 aspect ratio.

The HP Specter x360 14 is the first model in HP’s Specter series with a 3: 2 display. The manufacturer uses a 13.5 “screen with thin edges and the top model contains an OLED panel with a resolution of 3000×2000 pixels. HP will also supply the Specter x360 14 with IPS panels. The OLED panel has a maximum brightness of 400cd / m². .

Inside the Specter x360 14 is an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor. That is a quad-core of the Tiger Lake generation, with a maximum clock speed of 4.7 GHz and an Intel Xe GPU. The convertible has 16GB Lpddr4x memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. According to HP, the 66Wh battery provides a battery life of 10.5 hours in ‘mixed use’ and up to 12 hours and 15 minutes when playing video. The convertible has Wi-Fi 6 and is equipped with an infrared camera, for logging in with Windows Hello. The weight is 1.36kg.

On the sides are two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 support, with a maximum bandwidth of 40Gbit / s. Furthermore, the Specter x360 14 has a USB-A port with a speed of 10Gbit / s. Four speakers are built in and the convertible comes with a stylus.

The 3: 2 ratio of the screen means there is more space under the keyboard, giving the Specter x360 14 a larger touchpad than previous models. HP provides the convertible with a software Focus mode, which dims the screen except for the foreground application. That should also ensure better battery life.
