How to Hide Any Drive in Windows 10 PC

You can hide any drive of your Windows 10 PC with Group Policy setting. With Group Policy setting you can remove the icons representing unwanted hard drives from the file explorer. Here is how you can hide any drive in Windows 10 PC.

Step 1. Press the Windows Key + R button. This will open the RUN dialog box.

Step 2. Enter ‘gpedit.msc’ in the RUN dialog box and press the Enter button.  

Step 3.  Now Local Group Policy Editor will open.

Step 4. Go to the path – User Configuration> Administrative Templates> Windows Components> File Explorer

Step 5. Here in the right pane, find and double-click the option ‘Hide these specified drives in My Computer’

Step 6. Select ‘Switched on’ and on the ‘Choose one of the following combinations,’ choose the station you want to hide.

Step 7. You can also hide multiple stations on this page. When you are done, click on it ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’

Step 8. Select to undo the changes and make the drives visible ‘Not set’ at step no. 6.
