How To Delete Google AI Data

Spread the love

The process of Google AI data deletion is very simple.  To delete data from Google AI, manage your activity through your Google Account’s Data & privacy settings, specifically in the My Activity dashboard. This includes data from features like Gemini, AI Overviews, and Google Assistant.

Delete Gemini and AI Mode Activity

For google ai data deletion, manage activity related to Google’s AI chat services (formerly Bard and AI Mode in Search Labs).

  • Go to your Gemini Apps Activity page. You may need to sign in to your Google Account.
  • Delete a specific item by clicking the three-stacked-dots icon next to it and selecting Delete.
  • To delete all activity, click the Delete icon at the top of the page, select All time, and confirm.

Delete General Web & App Activity

Interactions with Google services, including searches that trigger AI Overviews, are saved under Web & App Activity.

  1. Go to your My Activity page and select Data & privacy from the left navigation panel.
  2. Under “History settings,” click Web & App Activity.
  3. Click Manage Activity to see a list of all your logged actions.
  4. Delete individual entries or click the Delete option to delete activity by the last hour, last day, custom range, or all time.

Automate Deletion and Turn Off Tracking

You can prevent Google from saving future activity or set it to auto-delete after a certain period.

  • Turn off activity collection: In the Web & App Activity settings, toggle the feature off. You will be given the option to turn it off and delete existing activity.
  • Set auto-delete: In the same “History settings” section, select the Auto-delete option and choose a timeframe (3, 18, or 36 months). Any data older than your selected period will be deleted automatically.
