Indie game Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on PlayStation consoles. Sony confirms that. The game has already been confirmed for Switch, Xbox consoles and PCs. Silksong was announced in 2019 but has no official release date yet.

Sony announces on Twitter that Silksong will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Furthermore, the company does not share any information about the game. It is also not yet known whether the game will be released on PS4 and PS5 immediately upon release, or whether the title will come to consoles at a later date.

Silksong is a sequel to Hollow Knight, a Metroidvania-esque 2D action platformer from 2017. Silksong was initially intended as DLC for the original, but was later disconnected as a standalone game. The game follows Hornet, a character who also played a major role in the original. Team Cherry announced Hollow Knight: Silksong in early 2019 for PCs and the Nintendo Switch. The studio shared more information at E3 that year. After that, the company did not share updates for a long time.

However, recently the developer announced that the game is also coming to Xbox consoles and Xbox Game Pass. It has now also been confirmed that the title will be released on the PS4 and PS5. The game still doesn’t have a release date. The game was also mentioned in an Xbox presentation in June with games coming out “within 12 months.” The game should therefore be released in the first half of 2023 at the latest.
