The Stadia game streaming service will be released on November 19 and Google has published the names of the twelve titles that are available for purchase at the release of the service. These include three Tomb Raider games, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Google says it has ‘carefully chosen’ the twelve games, with something for everyone. These twelve titles are mainly relatively older games and they are not automatically available; players must first purchase them via the Stadia app.
In addition, the company also mentions fourteen titles that will be published at the end of this year. This includes Borderlands 3, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Metro Exodus and Rage 2. Next year, titles such as Doom Eternal, Watch Dogs Legion and Cyberpunk 2077 will also be released on Stadia.
Those who have purchased the Founder’s Edition or the Premiere Edition will receive a Chromecast Ultra, a Stadia controller and a quarterly subscription to Stadia Pro, which means that at least Destiny 2: The Collection is available for free.
Stadia Pro means access to games in up to 4k, with 60fps, support for hdr and surround sound. The costs for a Stadia Pro subscription are ten euros per month and Pro users receive ‘approximately one free game’ every month. The free, non-Pro version of Stadia, where the games also simply have to be purchased, supports 1080p games at 60fps and stereo sound.
