Google has fixed a zeroday in Chromium. It is the third zero-day to be fixed in the browser in 2023. Details about the exploitation of type confusion are lacking.

Google has implemented the fix in version 114.0.5735.110 for Windows and version 114.0.5735.106 for macOS and Linux. Two vulnerabilities have been repaired, including a zero-day. Google says that it was actively abused, but as usual the company does not provide any details about this.

The vulnerability is CVE-2023-3079. That is a type of confusion in the browser’s V8 JavaScript engine. In April, two other zero-days were already repaired in Chromium.
