Gigabyte and MSI Announce AMD B550 Motherboard Prices – Update

Gigabyte and MSI have announced the prices of their B550 motherboards. The cheapest models from Gigabyte and MSI cost $94 and $119 respectively. The most expensive models from both manufacturers cost 279 and 219 dollars.

Manufacturers already announced their B550 lineups earlier this month, including Gigabyte. However, the various companies did not disclose suggested retail prices. Gigabyte and MSI have now shared the suggested retail prices of its B550 products. In addition, the differences between the Gigabyte motherboards are made clear in a spreadsheet.

Some of Gigabyte’s B550 motherboards

The Taiwanese manufacturer’s most expensive B550 motherboard is the B550 Aorus Master, with a suggested retail price of $279. With VAT that is about 303.96 euros. Gigabyte also has a B550 Vision D, which costs 283.26 euros, converted and including VAT. The Aorus Pro AC is positioned slightly lower, and has a suggested retail price of $189, which equates to 205.91 euros including tax. The B550 Aorus Pro and B550I Aorus Pro AX both cost about 195 euros with VAT.

The least highly priced Aorus model is the B550M Aorus Elite. This costs converted 118.75 euros. Gigabyte’s two cheapest B550 motherboards, the B550M Gaming and B550M DS3H, are priced at $99 and $94 respectively. Converted and including VAT, that amounts to 107.86 and 102.41 euros.

Part of MSI .’s B550 lineup

Prices of the MSI line-up range between 249 and 129 euros. The most expensive model is the B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi, with a suggested retail price of 249 euros. The B550i Gaming Edge WiFi in turn costs 209 euros, while the variant without WiFi costs 199 euros. The atx variant of the Gaming Edge model also costs 199 euros. The B550 Tomahawk also costs 199 euros.

The most affordable MSI motherboard in the gaming lineup is the B550M Bazooka. This will have a suggested retail price of EUR 155.00. The B550M Pro-Dash is MSI’s lowest priced B550 model. This motherboard has a micro-atx form factor and costs 129.00 euros. The B550M Pro-VDH WiFi also costs 139 euros.

Motherboards with the B550 chipset are expected on June 16. On that date, AMD is also rumored to announce a refresh of its Ryzen 3000 desktop processors with higher clock speeds.
