Garmin presents three sports watches in the Fenix ​​line

Garmin has announced three new sports watches at the annual electronics show in Las Vegas. The Fenix ​​5, 5X and 5S, with the latter model aimed at female users. The watches will be available in this quarter.

All three models have different sensors on board, such as a heart rate monitor, compass, gyroscope and altimeter. They offer support for both GPS and Glonass. When connected to a smartphone, the watches can display notifications about calls and messages. All models have Bluetooth low energy and the Sapphire variants of the watches are equipped with WiFi.

The Fenix ​​5 has a case with a diameter of 47mm and the small 5S model has 42mm. This model is also available in a Sapphire variant, which features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The 5X watch is the largest model, with a 51mm case, which also features the same glass. In addition, the latter model is equipped with color maps of Europe already present on the watch, with which users can, for example, discover points of interest and navigate to destinations. The directions must be clearly visible on the screen, according to Garmin.

The watches are water resistant to a depth of 100 meters and have different battery capacities. For example, the Fenix ​​5 lasts for two weeks in watch mode and 24 hours in GPS mode. For the 5S and 5X, that’s 12 days and 20 hours, and eight days and 13 hours, respectively. The watches should be available this quarter. The 5 and 5S are for sale from 599.99 euros, the 5X has a price from 749.99 euros.
