Fujifilm has announced its X-T1 camera. The ilc is resistant to dust, water and cold, and that is what mainly distinguishes the device from the X-E2. In addition, there is an electronic viewfinder with 0.77x magnification and low lag time.

The X-T1 is an ilc that has great similarities with the X-E2. For example, the camera has the same dimensions and 16-megapixel sensor. There are differences with the housing: with the X-T1, it is resistant to harsh weather conditions and must therefore be able to withstand dust, moisture and cold.

In addition, a flash has been added and burst mode supports 8fps instead of 3fps. In order to be able to write images quickly, the camera can handle memory cards based on the new sdxc uhs-II standard. Fujifilm has also given the EVF a major upgrade. The resolution of the OLED finder is still 1024 by 768 pixels, but 0.77x magnification is possible and the lag time is 0.005 seconds according to Fujifilm.

The US suggested retail price of the X-T1 is $1300 and combined with an 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens it’s $1700. The European prices are not yet known. The ilc will be available in February.
