George RR Martin, author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, and FromSoftware team up on a fantasy game. This is apparent from web pages of publisher Bandai Namco, which went online too early. Tales of Arise and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch also have pages.

The pages were discovered by Gematsu. The game Martin and FromSoftware are working on is called Elden Ring. The game is described as a fantasy action-RPG adventure set in a world created by From star Hidetaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin together. It would be FromSoftware’s biggest game to date. Furthermore, some artwork is included, but there is no more information. No doubt more will be revealed during one of the press conferences related to the E3 games show that kicks off this weekend.

Tales of Arise is a new game in the Tales series, which consists of titles such as Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Berseria. This new jrpg runs in Unreal Engine 4 and once again features the “classic Tales gameplay”. The franchise has been around since 1995 and the many games have been released on just about all platforms.

The last game Gematsu writes about is Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. This game originally came out for PS3 in 2011. It looks like the game will be re-released on Nintendo Switch and a remaster coming on PS4 and PC. Attached screenshots show the polished graphics of this jrpg.

It is not yet clear when these games will be featured at E3. Bandai Namco does not hold a press conference itself, so these games will be grouped with other presentations. That could be Microsoft’s Xbox on Sunday, or Nintendo’s on Tuesday. It’s unlikely they’ll drop by any other presentation, as those are from the direct competition.
