Fortnite’s battle royale mode has 200 million registered players. In June of this year, that number was still at 125 million. This means that the number of players increased by sixty percent between June and November 2018.

Bloomberg was the first to report reaching 200 million registered players. Due to the success of Fortnite, Epic Games brought in 1.1 billion in investments in October. The estimated value of the company is now at 13.1 billion euros.

Tech website Engadget speculates that developer Epic Games owes its growth to the arrival of the iOS version of Fortnite in April, the Switch version in June and the open beta for Android in October. Nintendo’s most recent quarterly earnings show that the free-to-play game is on nearly half of Nintendo Switch consoles.
