HMD has announced three new Nokia smartphones. The Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 have an extended screen and receive a MediaTek-soc. There will also be a new budget model with Snapdragon 425-soc, the Nokia 2.1 running on Android Go.

The Nokia 5.1 is the top model of the new midrangers that HMD presents on Tuesday. Unlike its predecessor, the Nokia 5.1 does not have a Qualcomm-soc HMD switches to a variant of MediaTek, the MT6755S, or the Helio P10, with eight Cortex-A53 cores at 2GHz, the device gets 2GB ram and 16GB flash storage, which can be expanded with a micro-sd card.The Nokia 5.1 costs 199 euro.

Both the Nokia 5.1 and the Nokia 3.1 are part of the Android One program. Nokia foresees the devices for two years of new Android versions and releases a security patch every month for three years

The new budget model, the Nokia 2.1 will run on Android Go. The device gets a Snapdragon 425-soc, which is newer and faster than the Snapdragon 212 from the Nokia 2 from the end of last year . The new model has a slightly larger 5.5 “screen, but the resolution has remained the same with 1280×720. New are stereo speakers at the front.The battery gets a capacity of 4000mAh, slightly less than the 4100mAh of the previous model, but according to HMD improves the battery life through optimizations.
The Nokia 2.1 has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.HMD has improved the camera with new autofocus.The device has 1GB ram and 8GB emmc- flash storage and costs 119 euros.

The three new Nokia devices will be released in the Benelux in August. Only versions with 2GB ram and 16GB flash storage will appear on Nokia 5.1 and 3.1
