Five smartphones that are expected in 2020

Spread the love

2019 was not a bad year in smartphones. Okay, the expected hype of foldable telephones has not yet started so badly due to technical problems, but you can now take great pictures with devices that are slightly less high end. High-end smartphones can, in turn, take even more professional photos since this year, including through wide-angle lenses and zooming. We have not seen any real innovation in 2019, will that change in 2020? These phones are expected in 2020.

iPhone 12

Apple seems to have the plan in 2020 to use other screen sizes for its iPhone: it is thought to be 5.4 inches or 6.1 and 6.7 inches. An OLED screen would be chosen, which is a big difference with today’s Apple Liquid Retina displays. Apple is also likely to do more with Qualcomm chips, which was previously not possible due to a long-running argument between the two.

You can unlock that iPhone 12 by Touch ID, which would make a comeback in 2020. You will not unlock it this time at a specific place on the phone but via the entire screen. In terms of photography and making videos, we can expect three cameras (or will there still be 4) in the new iPhone and a 3D laser sensor with which depth in photos is better seen.

Huawei P40

If we look at the past of Huawei, we know that we can expect a Huawei P40 in the first half of the new year. The Pro variant seems to be equipped with no less than five cameras. However, what is a bigger question for Huawei in 2020, is how to proceed with the problem that America has created a trade agreement. As a result, P40 cannot be provided with the Google app store, which means that it may run on Huawei’s own operating system Harmony OS.

Xiaomi Mi 10

The Chinese Xiaomi seems to become just before the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with a new flagship. It is the Xiaomi Mi 10 that would use a Samsung camera of 64MP and there is a large battery of 5000mAh. It is expected that no notch will get stuck on the phone and that the camera will be placed in the screen like a hole, instead of coming up with a motor.

Samsung Galaxy S11

Samsung will come to the tradition with a Galaxy S11. The seems to be equipped with 45 Watt fast charging, but also a heart rate monitor. Does Samsung want to focus more on health? It could just be. The cameras are about the same as those in Note 10, but with a significant upgrade. One of the lenses appears to be 64MP.

OnePlus 8

While OnePlus always took a reasonable lead in ensuring that you get as much screen as possible and as little notch as possible, it seems to come back to that. Just like a previously described device, the phone has a ‘hole’ in the front screen in which the selfie camera is placed. Hopefully, the price will also go down a bit, because OnePlus has risen enormously in price in recent years.

The OnePlus 8 appears to be equipped with a 3D Time-Of-Flight sensor, which means it can detect depth even better. The screen also becomes a bit smaller, namely 6.6 inches. Where Samsung seems to be doing with health, OnePlus bets on gaming. Thanks to the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, the phone must be able to handle multitasking and heavier tasks better.

Which smartphones are expected in 2020

Of course, we do not know for sure what the new smartphones will be called in 2020 and much of all the above information is based on rumors. The question is also which telephones are equipped with 5G and how it is going at all with the development of 5G in the new year. but in exactly one month and we are already in 2020.
