Download Firmware Xtreamer 2.4

Xtreamer has released new firmware for its media player of the same name. The Xtreamer is intended for playing and streaming media files from the optional built-in hard drive, a device on the internal network – wired or wireless – or from the Internet. There is a topic on our own GoT with more information about this budget media player. Below are the changes and improvements made after the release candidate.

What’s new in this firmware?

• Music Control Box during image slideshow from Media library to control background music
  • Need to click “FUNC (8)” key to control background music during slide show
  • Can choose files from folder or even music playlist to play in background
• Info OSD for video will auto disappear after 3 second playback
• Background Music playback during image slideshow from Internet section
• YouTube user account login in Internet section
  • User can login to their YouTube account from Xtreamer’s “Internet->YouTube” section
  • After login he will be able to watch his “Uploaded”, “Favorites” and “Playlists” videos online

Modified Features:

• Info OSD auto display function removed while playing a movie
• During rename file or folder the rename popup will display that file/folder name by default
• Swap file size increased from 64MB to 128MB (file name also changed .Swap->.Swapfile)
• HDMI audio ON/OFF is back in Setup menu
• Playback of Movie with HD audio improved

Bug fixed:

• HDMI compatibility options doesn’t take effect for changing the options from “Settings->A/V->HDMI Compatibility Set”
• Picasa don’t work
• Products not supporting HD audio will display “DTS/Dolby Digital 5.1CH” in “Setting->A/V->Digital Output”
• System crashes while pressing “Home” from Jukebox and to go to other menu
• If press “info” + “GOTO” + “info” button while playing a movie then any of remote control button don’t works, also if “GOTO” + “info” pressed the info UI will be messed with GOTO UI.
• Time Zone list between GMT-12 and GMT fixed
• France, Spain, Portugal language strings modified as per user requests in forum
• While streaming online contents the part of “GOTO” window (part of the jump to 00:00:00) remains on the screen
• System crash during image slideshow
• From “Media Library->Recently Watched” if the selection is over a big filename (one that makes the name scroll horizontally) and press home, the selection is still visible and still scrolling on the main home menu.
• TrueHD playback not smooth.
