Download Firmware Sony PlayStation Portable 2.82

A new firmware for Sony’s portable game computer, the PlayStation Portable, was released on YourPSP yesterday. The update has version number 2.82 and the 15.5 MB download can here are being found. New in this release is, among other things, the possibility to game demos download and fixes an undisclosed security issue. The full changelog shows the following changes:

Network

• A new game demo has been added which you can download from the internet browser and save to your Memory Stick Duo. Click here to view the available demos.

Security

• A patch has been added that addresses a security issue in the system software.

Remark

• This system software update includes all features from previous versions.
• The system software saves all settings previously entered on the PSP system (such as the parental control level).
• Do not use any data other than the data you retrieved from our company’s server.
• Depending on the software title, you may not be able to play the game until you update the PSP system software.
