Firmware update: Nokia N900 2.2009.51.1

Nokia has for its mobile phones of the type N900 new firmware released with 2.2009.51.1 as the version number. This update can be downloaded as usual using the Nokia Software Updater, in order to transfer the firmware to the mobile phone. In addition, it is possible to use an over-the-air Maemo update, and those who find this all too complicated can visit a Nokia Service Point. Nokia N900 software version 2.2009.51.1 released

This software release includes Ovi Store, which lets you download new applications for your device. With this release, the Maps application is faster, and the FM transmitter now sends song and artist information. You can also set ringing tones directly from Music player. This release also brings Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, so you can synchronize data between your device and your Microsoft Exchange 2003 inbox, calendar, and contacts. ActiveSync support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is also extended to include global address list (GAL) lookup. This update is available as an automatic over-the-air Maemo update sent directly to your device. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.
