Download Firmware LSI Logic MegaRAID Ultra160 SCSI series

LSI Logic has released a new firmware and BIOS version for its MegaRAID Ultra160 SCSI series. The new release is compatible with a wider range of PCI-X implementations and fixes issues under certain rebuild scenarios, among other things. Due to a modified coercion algorithm, it is necessary to upgrade the drivers and management utilities to the most recent versions. These can be found in the downloads section from LSILogic.com. The firmware is suitable for the single channel MegaRAID Express 500, the dual channel MegaRAID Elite 1600 / 1650 and the quad channel MegaRAID Enterprise 1600:

Important note: Coercion changes require upgrade of utilities and drivers when upgrading to this firmware revision. Other key updates include: bug fixes, including certain rebuild scenarios; compatibility updates to work with a wider range of PCI-X systems.

Bug Fixes:

1) Control-M and WEB BIOS were inconsistent in the size of physical drives reported. This resulted in the in-ability to start a rebuild on a fail drive in one utility(WEB BIOS), when the logical drive was created in the other utility (CTRL-M).
