Firmware update: iRiver iMP-400 1.01

The iRiver iMP-400 has received a new firmware, which contains the version number 1.01 wear. This device is a portable MP3 CD player with many comprehensive features. The following changes can be found in the changelog

Added Functions

  • Game Function ( Menu > Mode > Game )
  • Progressive Visualization has been added.( Menu > Display > Visualization)

Improved Features

  • Back Light( Menu > Display > Back Light )
  • Resume ( Menu > General > Resume )
  • “Heavy Metal” has been added to Metal genre in Tag Auto EQ.
  • At stop or during playback, if you press Navi button, the navigation will be shown as the current song as center.
  • When you set Shuffle mode, tracks had been played in same order. Now this problem has been improved.
  • Tag information display, setting the display order of artist, Title, is expanded to WMA. (Title and artist is only supported since WMA does not have Album information.)
  • On period playback (AgB), the CD will not spin at all (Unnecessary power consumption has been decreased.)

Fixed Bugs

  • If ID3Tags were made using Uni code and Local code together, tag information has been displayed incorrectly.
  • On MP3 file that is using ID3Tag V1, the Tag Auto EQ was not working on right order.
  • On Mixed CD, if it includes Audio Data only, the volume display was not displayed correctly.
  • Auto Pause was not working on Audio CD.
